Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026. The short version: we collect what we need to get you on the water, and we don't sell it.
What we collect
When you book: your trip details (route, date, boats), email, and phone number — so we can meet you at the right ramp and reach you about conditions. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Live river data comes from USGS and weather from Open-Meteo; neither receives anything about you.
The chat guide
Messages you type into the river-guide chat are processed by an AI model running on Cloudflare Workers AI to generate answers. Don't put sensitive personal information in the chat; we don't use chat messages for marketing.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, run third-party ad trackers, or send marketing email you didn't ask for. Booking confirmations and trip-related messages only.
Retention & your rights
Booking records are kept for our business and tax records. Email float@mattskayaks.com to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion of anything we're not legally required to keep.
